# Delete a shared block

`DELETE /v1/shared-blocks/{id}`

Requires an API key with the `templates:write` scope. [About keys and scopes](/docs/api/authentication)

Any member. Refused with 409 `IN_USE`, its `details` the usage, while a template, an unsent campaign or a journey not ended places it.

## Path parameters

- `id` (string, required, uuid)

## Returns

Returns `204 No Content` with an empty body. Otherwise returns an error; [Errors](/docs/api/errors) lists every code and which to retry.
