# Journey results

Review journey enrolments, step performance, conversions and individual contact paths.

Review a journey's results to see who entered, which steps they reached and where they finished or left. Inspect message performance and conversions, or follow a contact's path to understand a specific outcome.

## Journey totals

Open a journey from **Journeys** and go to the **Performance** tab. At the top you'll see:

- **Enrolled**: everyone who has entered, all time
- **In the journey now**: people still partway through
- **Completed**: people who reached the end
- **Exited early**: people who left before the end, for example through an exit rule or a filter

**Activity** charts daily entries, completions and exits for the **Last 7 days**, **Last 30 days** or **Last 90 days**.

## Step performance

The **Steps** table shows, for each step:

- **Scheduled**: how many contacts have been handed to the step
- **Active**: how many are on it now, for example in a wait
- **Completed here** and **Exited here**: where people finished or left
- channel results for send steps, and **Conversions** if you've added a goal

For email steps, "sent" means the email service accepted the message. Opens and clicks are a share of delivered. For push steps, "sent" means the push service accepted it, and opens and clicks are a share of sent, because push doesn't confirm delivery.

To see the numbers on the canvas instead, open the **Workflow** tab and turn on **Show results on steps**.

## Earlier versions of the steps

When you change the path of a live journey, people already in it keep the version they started. Each version still in use is listed under **Step versions**, and the **Steps** table can switch between **Current steps** and **Earlier steps**, so the counts always match the path people actually took.

## Conversion goals

Add a conversion goal to count orders, or any other event, that follow the journey's messages, along with the revenue.

1. On the journey's page, find **Conversion goals** and choose **Add goal**.
2. Choose the **Event**, for example *Order Completed*.
3. Set **Counts within**: the number of days after a message that an event still counts.
4. Optionally, set a **Revenue property**, such as `total`, and a **Currency**, such as `USD`.
5. Choose **Add goal**.

A goal only counts events from when it's added, so add it before or as soon as you turn the journey on.

## Follow one contact

To see what happened to one person, open them from **Contacts** and go to the **Journeys** tab. Each run shows whether they're **In the journey**, **Finished** or **Left early**, and why they left:

- **Stopped matching a filter**
- **Did an exit event**
- **Removed by hand**
- **The journey was ended**
- **Cancelled by the API**

Open a run to see the steps they went through, in order, with the time they reached each one. To take someone out of a journey, choose **Remove from journey**. Nothing more is sent to them from that run.

The contact's **Messages** tab lists every email and push they were sent, with its status.

## Test before you rely on the numbers

The **Test a contact** tab shows the path any contact would take right now, without sending anything or enrolling anyone. It's useful when a journey's numbers look wrong: for example, to check whether a contact fails the entry conditions or can't receive a message. See [Build a journey](/docs/guides/journeys/build-a-journey).

## See journey messages alongside campaigns

**Message library** lists the messages from all your journeys and campaigns, with how often each was sent, opened and clicked. The **Overview** page includes journey sends in your workspace totals.

To receive journey events in another system as they happen, a developer can set up [webhooks](/docs/api/webhooks).
